54 Republican Town Committee Chairs Endorse Themis for US Senate

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MADISON, CT—Themis Klarides, former House Republican Leader and candidate for US Senate, announced the endorsement of fifty-four Republican Town Committee Chairmen and town committee leaders in her race against Democrat Richard Blumenthal.

“Themis’ experience in the State House makes her the perfect person to beat Blumenthal and give Connecticut the representation it deserves,” said Waterbury Republican Town Committee Chairman Jeffrey Santopietro.

Tolland Republican Town Committee chair Lisa Burns added, “We have the opportunity of a lifetime to win this Senate seat with Themis running at the top of the ticket. The entire Republican slate will be stronger in November if we can unify around her and focus our energies on beating Dick Blumenthal.”

“Our Republican Town Committee chairs know the work it takes to fight and win on the local level. Their efforts and dedication will play a key role in taking back the US Senate seat and winning races down ticket and I am thrilled to have their support,” said Klarides.

The latest round of support follows endorsements from four former Connecticut Republican Party chairmen, a majority of the current Republican State Central Committee, over two dozen Republican municipal leaders, and the Connecticut State Police Union.
